No.05 Star-Wheel Smart
Five-point star wheelsmart shelving.
A five-spoke steering wheel, one motor beneath every bay, and an aisle that lands within ±5 mm every time. Calm on the floor, exact on the shelf.
Star wheel · every moving bay
Why five points § 01
The wheel that does the driving.
Every moving bay carries a five-point star wheel at hand height — the wheel your staff turn, and the wheel the motor turns for them. Four numbers tell the story.
The labelled machine § 02
Every part pointed at,
nothing left vague.
The intelligence § 03
Four systems make this shelving genuinely smart.
Touch command
A colour LCD terminal sits on every moving bay. Call an aisle by number and the shelving drives itself there — no crank rounds, no guesswork.
Light guidance
XY markers light up the exact shelf on the bay you called, so even a first-week clerk finds the right box without reading labels.
Infrared protection
Aisle scanning watches every moving column. Someone steps into the aisle and the drive halts instantly — people stay safe, files stay put.
Central control
A regional master panel supervises the whole run: three-level key management, and every open, close and override written to the log.
No app, no server room, no IT project — every smart function runs on the shelving itself.
Security & sealing § 04
Locked, sealed,
and dust-free.
A central lock with three-level key management closes the whole run from one point — supervisor, operator, audit. Magnetic gaskets pull the doors shut; top dust panels and light-proof side panels keep the contents out of sight and out of the draught.
The 7-inch terminal logs every open, and optional temperature and humidity logging rides the same feed for sensitive holdings.
Control
Ask these before you sign § 05
Six questions that sort a real smart bay from a motorised one.
Q1What stops the bay when someone steps into the aisle?
Infrared aisle scanning on every moving column. Break the beam and the drive halts, then reverses clear. We demo it on camera before you commit — the same test, unedited.
Q2What happens during a power cut?
A mechanical clutch releases automatically and every five-point star wheel becomes a hand wheel. No tools, no engineer visit — the archive is never sealed shut.
Q3How repeatable is the positioning, really?
±5 mm, aisle after aisle. Dual drive shafts close the loop on the rack itself, and XY light guidance marks the exact shelf — repeatability you can check with a tape measure at handover.
Q4Who can open the archive, and who says so?
Three-level key management from the central lock — supervisor, operator, audit. Every open, close and override is logged with operator and time on the terminal feed.
Q5How much steel is actually in each bay?
Full-weld SPCC, ≈146 kg per double-sided bay — 1.5 mm posts, 0.8–1.0 mm shelf pans. 80 kg tested per layer, 480 kg per bay. Ask competitors for the same three numbers.
Q6What paperwork ships with the container?
GB/T 13667.3 · GB/T 13667.4 · DA/T 65 compliance, ISO 9001 and 14001 certificates, SGS structure test report, packing drawings and a numbered installation map — plus a 5-year warranty, 10 years on the welded frames.
